Pakistan- Construction work on Mardan Women University launched


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MARDAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak along with Elementary and Secondary Education Minister Atif Khan on Wednesday performed the ground breaking of Women University Mardan near Gojar Garhi.

Vice Chancellor Women University Professor Dr Ghazala Yasmin, VC Abdul Wali Khan University Professor Dr Khursheed, political activists and university students were present on the occasion. The university building will be built on 600 kanals land with a cost of Rs2.5 billion.

Earlier, the chief minister inaugurated Fatmatul Zahra Model School in Mardan. Member National Assembly Ali Muhammad Khan, MPAs Tufail Anjum, Iftikhar Mashwani, tehsil nazim Ayub Khan, Commissioner Zakir Hussain Afridi and Deputy Commissioner Zakir Mehsud were also present on the occasion.

The school is being built on the pattern of Fazle Haq College Mardan. The school has been completed with a cost of Rs290 million.
