The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting examinations for six students of class 10 and 12, who were representing India at international sports championships during the board exams.

Among these six students, four including Anish Bhanwala won medals at the respective events.

A senior official said this special drive will encourage talent in sports. The dates haven't been announced yet.

"We confirmed the same from the Sports Authority of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and gave special permission to two Class 12 students and four Class 10 students for appearing in board exams on later dates," the senior official added.

A Class 12 student from Lucknow, Amolika Singh, who plays badminton, represented India at Junior Dutch Open International tournament and Yonex German open tournament.

Table tennis player Manav Thakkar, a student of Class 12 from Ajmer, played at Asia Cup Yokohama, Japan and Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Qualifications, Tunisia.

Ctandard 10 student Anish Bhanwala won gold in rapid-fire pistol event at recently-concluded Commonwealth Games.

K Venkatadri, a Class 10 student from Vijayawada, won three silver medals at the South Asian Archery Championship at Dhaka.

Class 10 student Sehajpreet from Patiala won an international tournament as a member of the women's recurve team in Dhaka and bagged a gold medal.

Delhi's Class 10 student Rekha won the wheelchair basketball championship at the Para Asian Games held at Bangkok.
