104 member countries to be granted T20I status by ICC

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday announced major decisions in the ongoing Annual General Meeting (AGM), being held in Kolkata.
Out of all the key announcements, the one that is being considered historic is that T20 International status will be granted to all 104 members.
As for now, only 12 full members of ICC and 6 associate nations have T20I status.
ICC aims to globalize T20 format
New vision
ICC's main aim is to use the T20 format to globalize the game.
The move will benefit for both men's and women's cricket.
The ICC also stated that minimum standards will be introduced to make it possible for all members to play T20Is in a sustainable and an affordable way.
Rankings for women and men too will be introduced.
Two successive World T20s on cards?

The World Twenty20 is supposed to be held in 2020 and the Champions Trophy in 2021. However, ICC Chief Dave Richardson has claimed that the ODI tournament could now be converted into a World T20 instead. So will there be 2 successive World T20s?
