Kuwait warns of GCC crisis remaining unsolved


(MENAFN) Kuwait's deputy foreign minister confirmed the GCC commitment to find a solution to the Gulf crisis, since the region will be greatly affected if it remained unsolved.

Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled al-Jarallah has held talks on the "means of solving the crisis" when meeting Qatari Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

The Kuwaiti top official stated "everybody realises the longer this division the deeper the wound will be in the Gulf body."

It comes after was hit with a blockade from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt in 2017, as Al-Jarallah raised concerns of the crisis interfering with GCC projects.

He warned "this disagreement, if not resolved, will destroy the hopes, dreams and aspirations of the members of the GCC countries in cohesion, unity, harmony and joint GCC action for the benefit of GCC countries."
