Poland does not recognize Russian election in occupied Crimea

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Warsaw does not recognize the Russian presidential election in the occupied Crimea.

This was stated by the Polish Foreign Ministry.

"The Polish Foreign Ministry recalls that Poland together with the transatlantic community expresses a strong protest against Russia's actions regarding Ukraine. We support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and consider Crimea a part of its territory. It also means that the presidential election on the peninsula conducted by the Russian authorities cannot be recognized as valid," the Polish Foreign Ministry said.

As reported, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that the Russian presidential election in the occupied Crimea was illegal, and the only head of state to be elected by Crimea was the president of Ukraine.
