South Korea, Japan, US security advisers hold talks on summit


(MENAFN) South Korea, Japan and the US have had their leading national security advisers holding talks on approaches to denuclearize Korean Peninsula before a summit between the US and North Korea leaders take place.

The security advisers discussed "complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula" during their meeting, South Korea's Blue House declared.

It also confirmed they settled on a resolution that "it was important to not repeat the mistakes of the past" and to "work together closely."

The two-day meeting also resulted in the three parties putting on the table the idea of potential talks among South and North Korean leaders.
