Qatar, Pakistan naval forces hold maritime exercise

DOHA: The Emiri Naval Forces carried out a joint maritime exercise, Asad-Al Bahar-1, with Pakistan Naval Force in Qatar's regional waters. The exercise lasted for three days.

A group of missile and artillery boats from Qatar's Emiri Naval Forces and a number of speed-hopping boats participated in the exercise.

Himmat and Basol warships from Pakistan Navel Forces took part in the exercises.

The joint exercise included method of penetrating ships and defending oil and gas fields and combating the piracy and smuggling.

The exercise aimed at sharing experiences and training the crew members for different assignments and to enhance relationship between both countries, said a release.
