US study found window blinds deaths to remain in steady pace

(MENAFN) Based on a recent study in the United States that suggests a full ban on blinds with cords, children fatalities caused by window blinds haven't slowed down regardless of safety precautions.

The study found that between 1990 and 2015, almost 17,000 children in the United States suffered from window blinds, while the majority of injuries were mild nearly 300 children passed away.

Manufacturers have implemented voluntary safety standards such as warning labels, yet incidents keep on occurring. Thus, the industry came up with a strategy to push cordless blinds to become the single choice at retail stores and online shopping.
