Kuwaiti citizen arrested for raping physically handicapped Kuwaiti held for impersonating police


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti who was wanted by law. The suspect, believed to be physically handicapped, was sentenced to four years imprisonment for raping a minor. The man appeared confused when police ordered him to show his ID in Abu Futaira. He has been referred to the Sentences Enforcement Department.

Deportees return?: The Ahmadi police have arrested a 44-year-old citizen of Congo for infiltrating into the country who had earlier been deported from the country. The man was reportedly picked up on suspicion while walking along a road. He has been referred for deportation.

In a similar, unrelated incident, the Ahmadi police have also arrested a Congolese woman. She was picked up while walking in Mahboula. The woman reportedly appeared confused when police approached her because she did not carry any identification papers. Police discovered she was deported one month ago and she managed to return to Kuwait illegally.

Police imposter held: The Farwaniya police have arrested a 20-year-old Kuwaiti for impersonating police. The arrest came when police suspect the man behind the wheel of a pickup truck to pull over but the man instead stepped on the gas pedal in a vain attempt to escape. After he was chased and forced to pull over, police found in his vehicle a forged police ID, a baton, a knife, insignia of first sergeant and unlicensed gun. During interrogation, he admitted to impersonating police.
