(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Zeeshan Maqsood played a captain's innings of 102, Vinukumar Gopalakrishnan scalped four and Muhammed Nadeem's allround show (45 and 3-47) led defending champion Assarain CT to a 23-run win over Enhance CT in an Oman Cricket Premier Division match at Al Amerat on Friday.
Maqsood's knock included ten boundaries and four sixes as he helped Assarain post a challenging total of 232 in 46.2 overs. The other major contributor was Nadeem, who scored 45. Ahmed Fayyaz Butt led the bowling honours with four wickets while Sanuth Mohamed Ebrahim bagged three wickets.
Opener Khawar Ali led the chase for Enhance with a run-a-ball 88 punctuated with nine fours and three sixes. Enhance was cruising at one stage as it reached 158 for three.
However, Nadeem sent back Khawar in the 31st over, the first of his three wickets, to trigger the slide. Mehran Khan's quickfire 43 took Enhance closer to victory but Vinukumar's late spell saw Enhance bowled out for 209 in 46th over.
