(MENAFN) Ministry of Industry and Trade proclaimed that 655 industrial projects had delivered the final approval to be established inside and outside industrial zones amid the first quarter.
Moreover, the value of the projects will reach EGP15.6bn, while the new projects will create almost 20.000 direct job chances, which will be in many industries like food, chemical, textile and mining.
Accordingly, the positive indicators reflect the ministry's plan to enhance the industrial development until 2020 in order to raise the rate of industrial growth to 8 percent and make 3mn jobs.
Recently, the ministry is focusing on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as they are the major engine for development and innovation.
