Erdogan to face weak economy in path to bigger power

(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he is very near to achieve a power improvement after parliament's first approval of a bill to change the constitution, but the flagging economy may present a surprising roadblock.

Accordingly, the Turkish parliament stated that it has agreed on first reading, a bill to generate an executive presidency as in France or the US.

On the other hand, after a rough year during which hundreds of people were murdered in several terror attacks and a failed coup in the past summer, the Turkish economy is losing power.

Moreover, the Unemployment rate is growing, inflation is boosting, economic growth is declining as well as the Turkish lira is recording low rates against the US dollar.
