Cuba, US to draw road map after Trump election

(MENAFN) Cuba and United States will draw up a road map for strengthening their detente in a first meeting after the death of Fidel Castro and Trump win in US elections.

The administration of US President Barack Obama had pressed American companies to complete additional business deals in Cuba to help further cement the President's policy by the time Trump will take the office in January.

The Cuban foreign ministry said on Tuesday: "We will define the actions that will be carried out in the coming weeks to further the process of improving relations."

In general, several major U.S. companies, such as General Electric, are in the final stages of negotiation deals with Cuba.
