Jordan and Belarus discuss ties ahead of joint committee meeting

AMMAN, 26th October, 2016 (WAM) -- Jordan and Belarus have held political talks and discussed ways of enhancing relations in all fields ahead of a meeting of the two countries' joint committee in Minsk next month.

According to the Petra News Agency, during the meeting, Jordanian Foreign Ministry Under-Secretary, Nayef Zeidan, briefed Belarus Deputy Foreign Minister, Valentin Rybakov, on Jordan's stance towards developments in Syria, Iraq and the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, Jerusalem and the fight against terrorism.

They also reviewed signed agreements as well as deals that will be sealed during the upcoming meeting of the Joint Jordanian-Belarussian Committee, which cover areas of cooperation in a host of sectors.
