(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Previously healthcare professionals had to visit the department to pick up their licences; now both new and renewed licences will be delivered to healthcare professionals via Zajel Courier Service.The Dubai Health Authority’s Health Regulation Department has introduced a ‘drop to your door’ service for delivery of licences issued to busy healthcare professionals.

Dr Ramadan Ibrahim Director of Health Regulation at the DHA said: “All transactions including issuance and renewal of health professional licences are done online through the Sheryan system which is very convenient for health professionals. However previously the licences had to be collected from the health regulation office. This we felt was inconvenient for busy healthcare professionals. Moreover more than 100 to 120 health professionals would visit the office on a daily basis for collection of licences. Post this service the number of total customers received by the department per day has reduced by 40 per cent.”
Dr Layla Al Marzouqi Assistant Director of Health Regulation said that the courier service is applicable across the UAE and that healthcare professionals need to enter their preferred addresses for delivery at the time of filling the online form.
She added that in the first half of 2014 licences of 191 new health facilities and 7441 medical professionals were issued.
