UAE- Du doubles 4G LTE footprint


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Du recently announced that it has increased its 4G LTE footprint by more than double during 2013.



Du also doubled the original radio capacity to accommodate the significant increase in mobile data traffic, since the launch of its 4G network in June 2012, and during 2012-13 alone, du's investments in its 3G and 2G network capabilities have resulted in an increase of its radio network capacity by 60 per cent.



Saleem Albalooshi, executive vice president of network development and operations at du, said: "Telecom customers are increasingly becoming data-savvy and an integral part of their lifestyle is our world-class 4G LTE network € it is at the heart of what we do. Du is currently working on expanding its network capacity by deploying an additional third carrier for its 3G network to further accommodate even more users. The addition of HD Voice is a unique facility that offers crystal clear telephonic conversations on the latest smartphones
