Pakistan- Five security officials injured as IED went off in North Waziristan


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Five security officials were reportedly injured on Friday afternoon when explosives went off in area of Mir Ali in North Waziristan.

The security officials reported that a vehicle of security pesonnel was patrolling in Mir Ali area when an improvised explosives device (IED) planted on a roadside went off resultantly five of them sustained injuries. The injured were immediately shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Bannu.

After the incident, the area was cordoned off and the security personnel launched a search operation.

In February, a five-year-old minor was killed and an eight-year-old boy sustained injuries as an IED exploded in a village at North Waziristan.
