Amman, June 5 (Petra)-- A senior official at Jordan's Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) has denied reports circulating on several social media platforms claiming that any of the individuals implicated in the embezzlement case at the Ministry of Finance had fled the country.

In a press statement issued on Friday, the official said the commission had followed up on the claims with the relevant authorities, which confirmed that all suspects remain inside Jordan.

The commission had previously referred the case to the competent judicial authorities. The official added that, from the outset of the investigation, precautionary measures were taken against the suspects, including travel bans and the freezing of their movable and immovable assets.

The commission reaffirmed its commitment to pursuing the case through the legal process and ensuring that all necessary measures remain in place pending judicial proceedings.
