Syrskyi Tells NATO-Ukraine Council Russia Is Losing At Least 1,000 Troops Every Day

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Syrskyi briefed partners on the battlefield situation and the needs of Ukrainian forces, stating that the Russian army is losing at least 1,000 servicemen killed and wounded every day. The remarks were published on the commander-in-chief's Facebook page.

"Every day, the Russian army loses at least 1,000 servicemen killed and wounded. Since the beginning of 2026, the enemy's total losses have already exceeded 141,500 personnel, including more than 83,000 irreversible losses," he said.

Syrskyi also informed partners about the current operational situation on the front line, the needs of Ukrainian forces, and key priorities for strengthening military capabilities. He stressed that Ukraine's active defense tactics are enabling its forces to wear down the enemy, regain positions, and inflict maximum losses on Russian troops.

"Our unmanned systems units play an important role in this. For the fifth consecutive month, Russia has been losing more personnel due solely to their operations than it is capable of mobilizing," Syrskyi said.

According to him, Ukraine has also significantly increased the number of strikes deep inside Russian rear areas through the rapid deployment of middle-strike drones.

"We have also achieved certain successes in suppressing Russian air defenses at shorter ranges, allowing us to strike logistics hubs, oil refineries, and facilities belonging to Russia's defense-industrial complex with increasing effectiveness," Syrskyi said.

Syrskyi also thanked Ukraine's allies for their support and invited NATO's Military Committee to visit Ukraine.

"Today's security situation requires maximum unity, determination, and speed in countering Russian aggression. Today, Ukraine is defending not only itself – we are defending the future of the entire Euro-Atlantic space," he said.

Syrskyi also noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces highly value all mechanisms of cooperation with North Atlantic Treaty Organization and support further deepening of practical cooperation, ranging from strategic planning to the exchange of combat experience.

"Our shared task is to create the conditions for a just peace by strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities," Syrskyi said.
