Dr. N. Chiwawa is an interdisciplinary academic and research practitioner with expertise in leadership, strategy, public sector governance, local economic development, entrepreneurship, and organizational behaviour. He holds a PhD in Management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, complemented by an Executive MBA and a suite of advanced business qualifications, reflecting a robust integration of academic excellence and practical insight.. He currently serves as Research Coordinator at the Aerotropolis Institute Africa (UKZN), where he leads multidisciplinary research initiatives, manages complex projects, and fosters strategic collaborations. Dr. Chiwawa is also an experienced academic, having supervised postgraduate students, contributed to curriculum development, and facilitated training across diverse learning environments. With over a decade of experience as an Internal Auditor, he brings strong competencies in governance, compliance, and organizational improvement. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and actively contributes to academic discourse through conference presentations, peer review, and session chairing at both local and international levels. His research interests focus on governance, tourism, and sustainable development, with a commitment to advancing knowledge and supporting impactful solutions across Africa.
