BRICS Foreign Ministers Urge Israel To Withdraw From Southern Lebanon
Amman, May 15 (Petra) -- Foreign ministers of the BRICS group on Friday called on Israel to withdraw its forces from all Lebanese territories, including the five positions where Israeli troops remain stationed in southern Lebanon.
According to a statement issued during the group's ministerial meeting held in the Indian capital, New Delhi, and carried by Sputnik, the ministers urged Israel to comply with agreements reached with the Lebanese government and to fully end its military presence on Lebanese soil.
The statement stressed the need for Israel to pull out from the five areas in southern Lebanon where its forces are still deployed, emphasizing support for Lebanon's stability and sovereignty.
The BRICS group includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Ethiopia, Egypt, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia.
