Russian Troops Refuse To Cross Dnipro River In Prydniprovske Sector, Says Voloshyn

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian troops have resumed active operations near the Antonivskyi Bridge following a regrouping; however, assault units are refusing to carry out missions involving crossing the Dnipro River channels and landing on the islands.

This was reported in a comment to Ukrinform by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces.

“The enemy has resumed active operations near the Antonivskyi Bridge; three combat clashes were recorded over the past day, and two the day before,” Voloshyn said.

According to him, Russian troops have already regrouped their forces and equipment in this sector of the front, but there has been an increase in instances of assault units refusing to carry out missions involving crossing water obstacles and landing on islands.

“[The enemy] has already regrouped his forces and equipment, as refusals to carry out tasks involving crossing the Dnipro channels and landing on islands have been and continue to be recorded in these assault units. Some of their assault groups refuse to do this because we detect them and drown them,” the spokesperson added.

As reported by Ukrinform, 257 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invader were recorded on the front lines over the past day, May 14. The enemy is exerting the greatest pressure in the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, and Huliaipole sectors.
