Education Ministry Launches Over 40 E-Services In 2025 To Advance Digital Transformation

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has accelerated its digital transformation efforts across Qatar's education sector, launching a wide range of electronic services aimed at improving efficiency, accessibility, and the overall educational experience for students, schools, and the wider community.

Director of the Information Systems Department at the ministry Dr. Mona Salem Al Fadhli, said digital transformation has been treated as a key enabler and essential component of the country's education system.

Speaking to Al Rayyan TV recently, Al Fadhli explained that the ministry has developed integrated systems supporting the entire student journey, including the Student Information System and the Qatar Education System, both of which provide a broad range of services for the educational ecosystem.

She noted that the Education Ministry launched more than 40 electronic services in 2025 alone.

“Among the key initiatives is the compulsory education platform, designed to ensure that all school-age students are registered within the Student Information System,” said Al Fadhli.

She said that other services include electronic student registration, school transfers, class allocation and academic stream placement, all managed through digital platforms aimed at simplifying procedures and accelerating educational services.

Al Fadhli said the ministry's digital initiatives benefit not only students, but also educational institutions and the wider community by streamlining operations and enabling smoother access to education services.

Addressing challenges related to digital transformation, particularly within the private education sector, she said the ministry has introduced several services specifically targeting private schools.

“These include early registration services and digital tools supporting community and social responsibility initiatives to ensure transparency and facilitate student applications to low-cost schools,” said Al Fadhli.

The ministry has also launched licensing and educational platforms serving approximately 190 educational centers, kindergartens and around 360 private schools across the country, she added.

Al Fadhli stressed that the ministry provides integrated services for both public and private education sectors, including accelerated learning services in government schools.

She also highlighted the ministry's focus on supporting students with disabilities through dedicated digital services launched this year, including electronic registration, transfer, and educational support services aimed at improving accessibility and inclusion.

In higher education, Al Fadhli said the ministry continues to support students throughout their academic journey, from kindergarten to university level, through a comprehensive digital framework.

She pointed to several electronic services in higher education, including prior approval applications and the recently launched Government Scholarship Platform, which serves large numbers of scholarship students.

Al Fadhli added that Qatar's cultural attachés abroad have also been included in the ministry's digital transformation strategy, to ensure that digital transformation extends across the entire education system, both inside and outside Qatar.
