Israelis Near Gaza Accuse Army of Altering October 7 Surveillance Footage

Local media reported growing anger among residents, who claim that footage taken from security cameras was later returned incomplete or intentionally modified. A report in an Israeli daily stated that some residents along the Gaza border believe that parts of their surveillance recordings from October 7 were deleted by the army. It also said that a reserve military unit entered Kibbutz Be’eri on October 9, 2023, and confiscated camera footage, citing an urgent need connected to hostage recovery operations.
The report further noted that some of the recovered material was later broadcast without the consent of those involved.
