Kremlin Says Putin to Visit China in Near Future
(MENAFN) According to reports, the Kremlin has announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to visit China in the “very near future,” with preparations for the trip already largely completed.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters in Moscow that the exact dates of the visit will be confirmed soon in coordination with Chinese authorities.
“We will announce them shortly. This visit is being prepared. One can say that preparations are already complete, with only final touches remaining. It will take place in the very near future,” Peskov said.
He added that logistical and diplomatic arrangements are in their final stages ahead of the planned visit.
The most recent recorded engagement between Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping took place on February 4, 2026, when the two leaders held talks via video conference. During that meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation, global security developments, and coordination on key international issues, including economic relations and strategic stability.
