Xi Signals Expanded Market Access for US Firms During Beijing Summit

(MENAFN) According to reports, Chinese President Xi Jinping has indicated that China will further expand access for American businesses as he met with US President Donald Trump and a group of major US corporate leaders in Beijing.

During the summit at the Great Hall of the People, Xi told the visiting delegation that China’s policy of opening up would continue to deepen, signaling broader opportunities for US firms operating in the country.

The US business delegation accompanying Trump included senior executives from major companies such as Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, BlackRock, Blackstone, Boeing, Cargill, Citigroup, GE Aerospace, Goldman Sachs, Micron, and Qualcomm.

Trump introduced the business leaders to Xi during the meeting, which was held alongside discussions between the two presidents, according to state media reports.

Several executives reportedly expressed interest in expanding their operations and strengthening cooperation within the Chinese market.

Xi said US companies have played a significant role in China’s economic development since the reform and opening-up period, noting that both sides have benefited from sustained economic ties.

He added that China’s “door to opening up will only open wider,” and emphasized that American companies would continue to find growing opportunities in the Chinese market, highlighting expectations for deeper mutual economic cooperation.
