China Sends Tianzhou-10 Cargo Ship to Space Station

(MENAFN) China has successfully launched a cargo spacecraft, Tianzhou-10, on Monday to deliver supplies and materials to its orbiting space station, according to state media reports.

The spacecraft was sent into space aboard a Long March 7 rocket from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site, as confirmed by the China Manned Space Agency and reported by local news agency. The mission successfully placed the spacecraft into its designated orbit shortly after liftoff.

Officials said the launch marked the 641st transport mission completed using Long March rocket systems, highlighting the scale of China’s ongoing spaceflight operations.

The Tianzhou-10 is carrying a range of essential cargo, including supplies for astronauts, scientific experiment materials, and fuel needed to maintain station operations. The mission is designed to support the crew currently stationed aboard China’s orbital facility.

The country’s Tiangong Space Station operates with rotating teams of three astronauts, known as taikonauts. These crews are transported to and from orbit using Shenzhou spacecraft missions, while logistical support and replenishment are handled through Tianzhou cargo deliveries, ensuring continuous human presence and scientific activity in space.
