Mufti Taqi Usmani Condemns Killing Of Maulana Idrees, Calls Attackers“Inhuman”

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Renowned religious scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani has expressed profound sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of prominent cleric and former member of the assembly, Maulana Sheikh Muhammad Idrees Tarangzai.

In his statement, Mufti Taqi Usmani said that those responsible for the martyrdom of Maulana Idrees do not deserve to be called Muslims, or even human beings.

He added that the martyrdom of Maulana Idrees is a great loss for the country and the Ummah, and that his religious, educational, and political contributions will always be remembered.

It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday morning in Utmanzai, unidentified attackers opened fire on the vehicle of Maulana Sheikh Muhammad Idrees, as a result of which he was martyred, while two accompanying police personnel were injured.

According to the police, the incident occurred when Maulana Idrees was on his way from his home to a madrassa. A case has been registered at the Counter Terrorism Department police station, and further investigations are underway.
