Latinx In Gaming President Elaine Gómez To Speak And Co-Host Networking At Gamescom Latam 2026

(MENAFN- GetNews) Award-winning nonprofit brings Latine game industry community to Latin America's largest gaming event.

ANHEMBI, Brazil - Latinx in Gaming (LXIG), an award-winning nonprofit supporting Latine game developers, today announced two activations at gamescom LatAm 2026: a featured panel appearance by President Elaine Gómez and a community networking event co-hosted with IGDA São Paulo and S.A.N.D.A.

gamescom LatAm takes place April 30 – May 3 at Distrito Anhembi in São Paulo. As the Latin American edition of the world's largest gaming event, it features 150 B2B industry sessions and is expected to draw over 130,000 attendees.

PANEL: GAMES BEYOND ENTERTAINMENT

On Friday, May 1, Gómez will join the panel "Games Beyond Entertainment" from 3:15pm to 3:45pm BRT on the Journey 2 Stage. Alongside panelists Marco Arellano (Creative Director, Mr. iO Games) and Liliana Bravo (President, S.A.N.D.A.), the session explores how games drive social impact. The conversation will be moderated by Beatriz Blanco (Coordinator, Centro Universitário Senac).

COMMUNITY NETWORKING EVENT

On Saturday, May 2, LXIG will co-host a networking event with IGDA São Paulo and S.A.N.D.A. from 10:00am to 1:00pm BRT at Partícula Café. The gathering is open to all industry professionals and community members looking to connect during gamescom LatAm week.

A Borikua and Kisqueyan game designer, Gómez co-founded Latinx in Gaming in 2017. She currently serves as Strategic Partnership Liaison at Game Gen and is Founder and Game Director of Midnight Hour Games.
