Azerbaijan, Serbia Leaders Hold Call on Relations, Mideast Crisis

(MENAFN) Ilham Aliyev held a phone conversation on Sunday with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, during which both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and addressing developments in the Middle East, according to official Azerbaijani statements.

As stated by reports, the two leaders focused on expanding cooperation in key areas such as the economy, energy, and investment, and also reviewed the possibility of launching new joint initiatives considered strategically important.

They additionally exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, emphasizing that restoring stability and peace is essential for both regional security and long-term development.

According to reports, Vucic expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s continued support for Serbia and reaffirmed Belgrade’s intention to deepen relations based on mutual respect and shared economic interests.

He also confirmed his participation in the upcoming World Urban Forum, which is scheduled to take place in Baku next month.
