New Emails Show Israel Authorities are Involved in Manhattan Property Tied to Epstein

(MENAFN) Recently disclosed emails from the US Department of Justice indicate that Israeli authorities were involved in installing security systems and overseeing access at a Manhattan residential building managed by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to released records.

The correspondence shows that the security measures were initiated in early 2016 at 301 E. 66th Street. The property was reportedly used for extended stays by former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. Emails suggest that protective arrangements at what was described as “Ehud’s apartment” continued for a minimum of two years. Representatives from Israel’s permanent mission to the United Nations were said to have coordinated regularly with Epstein’s staff regarding entry permissions and security protocols.

In January 2016, Barak’s wife, Nili Priell, communicated with an aide to Epstein about implementing alarm systems and surveillance devices inside the apartment. The proposed configuration reportedly included six “sensors sticked to the windows, and the ability to remotely control access to the premises.”

Priell wrote: “They can neutralize the system from far, before you need somebody to enter the appartment. the only thing to do is call Rafi from the consulate and let him know who and when is entering, and he will neutralize it for the time necessary.”

The reference was to Rafi Shlomo, who at the time served as director of protective services at Israel’s UN mission in New York and headed Barak’s security detail.

Another email, sent by an Epstein aide to Barak and Priell, highlighted the scope of the arrangements, stating: “Jeffrey says he does not mind holes in the walls and this is all just fine!”
In January 2017, further communication reflected continued coordination. An assistant to Epstein emailed Shlomo under the subject line “Jeffrey Epstein RE Ehud’s apartment,” providing names of personnel who needed entry.

“I understand from you already have a copy of her ID from a while ago...she is the maid and has been going in and out of the apartment for a long time now!” the assistant wrote.
A separate message added: “Hello Rafi. I wanted to provide you with a list of all the employees of Jeffrey’s that may need access to Ehud’s apartment...you may certainly do background checks on them if you need.”

The emails collectively outline an extended period of logistical coordination concerning security installations and access management at the Manhattan residence.
