The public is urged to avoid dealing with unverified recruitment offices or social media accounts offering domestic workers and to refrain from being misled or engaging with unknown individuals outside legal channels.

Anyone who encounters suspicious offers or believes they have been targeted by a scam is encouraged to report the incident through official channels, including the Dubai Police Smart App, the eCrime platform, or by calling 901 for non-emergency cases.

This warning is part of the ongoing #BewareOfFraud campaign, aimed at raising awareness of evolving online scam tactics.

Police emphasise the importance of verifying the legitimacy of service providers before sharing personal data or making any payments.

The Anti-Fraud Centre at Dubai Police has previously warned that scammers are pretending to be recruitment agencies, claiming they can arrange domestic workers and support staff, with the goal of illegally taking money from victims.

Authorities emphasised that anyone looking to hire domestic help should work only with licensed and accredited recruitment offices operating in the UAE.

Residents were advised not to transfer money to individuals or companies offering recruitment services outside official legal channels.

Dubai Police stressed that following approved recruitment procedures is crucial to protect the rights of employers, workers, and recruitment agencies alike.
