Russia Says It Shot Down Hundreds of Ukrainian Drones
(MENAFN) Russia's air defense infrastructure intercepted 10 American-manufactured HIMARS projectiles, one Ukrainian Neptune long-range guided missile, and approximately 400 Ukrainian drones over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced Thursday.
The ministry further reported that Russia's Black Sea Fleet eliminated a Ukrainian unmanned surface vessel operating in central Black Sea waters, according to an official statement released by military officials.
Russian forces also targeted energy infrastructure and petroleum storage installations utilized by Ukraine's armed forces, alongside temporary staging areas housing Ukrainian service members and foreign mercenaries across over 100 locations, the ministry noted in its comprehensive daily operational briefing.
Military sources indicated the strikes were part of ongoing tactical operations designed to disrupt Ukrainian supply chains and logistics networks supporting frontline combat units throughout multiple regions.
