Pakistan's Chief Of Defence Forces Munir Warns India Of Swift, Severe Retaliation

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Pakistan's newly appointed Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, warned India that any aggression will be met with swift and severe retaliation.

In his first address as Pakistan's Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Field Marshal Asim Munir issued a stern warning to India and the Afghan Taliban, asserting that Pakistan will defend its sovereignty at all costs. Speaking to military officers after receiving the guard of honour, Munir emphasized that any aggression against Pakistan would be met with a response“faster and stronger” than

India reported that without directly naming India's Operation Sindoor, Munir hinted at it, saying that Pakistan's next reaction to any attack would be“much more swift and severe.” He cautioned India not to fall into delusions or false assumptions regarding Pakistan's military capabilities and resolve.

Munir stressed the need for greater integration among Pakistan's army, navy, and air force under the newly formed Defence Forces Headquarters. This unified structure, he said, would enable the armed forces to conduct multi-domain operations efficiently while retaining each service's autonomy.

Highlighting modern warfare's evolving nature, Munir noted that future conflicts would span cyberspace, the electromagnetic spectrum, space, information operations, artificial intelligence, and quantum computing. He praised the strength of Pakistan's people and the military, calling Operation Sindoor a“case study” for preparing future battle strategies.

Reaffirming Pakistan's peaceful stance, Munir added that the country would never tolerate threats to its territorial integrity or sovereignty.“The concept of Pakistan is invincible, protected by faith-filled warriors and the firm resolve of a united nation,” he said, signaling a firm defensive posture.

Observers note that Munir's remarks coincide with ongoing tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, and his warning to Kabul reinforces Islamabad's demand that the Afghan Taliban choose between supporting Pakistan or tolerating the TTP. This reflects rising regional security concerns and a shift toward more assertive Pakistani military rhetoric.

Experts suggest that Munir's speech demonstrates Pakistan's strategy of deterrence, emphasizing military readiness and national unity. By addressing India and the Afghan Taliban simultaneously, the CDF seeks to project strength while highlighting Pakistan's commitment to defending its sovereignty amid a volatile regional environment.
