Zelensky Holds Phone Call With Merz Ahead Of Coalition Of The Willing Meeting
“We discussed the latest developments and coordinated our next steps. We also touched upon the agenda of today's Coalition of the Willing meeting that will be co-chaired by Germany. Thank you for your support – we will remain in close contact,” Zelensky said following the conversation with Merz.
He shared with the Chancellor the latest details of work on the steps to end the war.
“Yesterday, the Ukrainian team returned from Geneva and provided a complete report along with an updated framework. Communication with the American side continues, and I am grateful for all of America's efforts and personally for President Trump's efforts,” the President emphasized.
Zelensky also highlighted that Germany has provided significant assistance since the beginning of the war - military, financial, and political. He expressed gratitude for the fact that Ukraine can always rely on Germany's leadership and support.

Ahead of the Coalition of the Willing meeting, the two leaders coordinated positions, key items for discussion, and upcoming steps and contacts.
The President also discussed the peace efforts with Finland's President Alexander Stubb.
