New Project Launched For Aspiring Filmmakers
Azerbaijan Film-Makers Union has announced a new project as part of its key initiatives: the "Create Your Own Film!" Short Film Laboratory, aimed at providing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for aspiring and developing directors, screenwriters, and producers, Azernews reports.
The laboratory aims to help participants develop their original film ideas, advance them professionally through the synopsis, treatment, and script stages, and ultimately move on to the shooting process to complete their short films.
The training will be led by the director and producer, and the UAF secretary, Oleg Safaraliyev. Participants will also attend masterclasses conducted by other local specialists, giving them the opportunity to learn about modern approaches widely accepted in the creative industry.
Throughout the program, each participant will develop their project step by step with mentor support, culminating in a film ready for presentation.
The laboratory provides a systematic approach to the creative process, allowing participants to develop their projects from scratch to a professional level. It is designed for both beginners and filmmakers seeking to enhance their experience.
Participants will also meet with professionals in areas such as cinematography, production design, film composition, and producing, to gain a deeper understanding of the creative process. Selected projects will be produced as films.
Those interested in applying can submit their applications to the UAF via email at [email protected], using the subject line "Create Your Own Film!" by December 1.
