Su-30 Fighter Jet Crashes In Russia


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) That is according to Mediazona, Ukrinform reports.

The Governor of the Republic of Karelia, Artur Parfenchikov, said that the military aircraft crashed in the Prionezhsky District.

Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense clarified the aircraft model as a Su-30. The fighter jet crew died in the crash.

The Su-30 is a two-seat, fourth-generation multirole fighter.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on October 10, a MiG-31 fighter jet crashed in Russia's Lipetsk region, with the crew ejecting safely.

A week earlier, a light transport plane, the An-2, crashed in Russia's Krasnoyarsk region.
