(MENAFN- KNN India) Amaravati, Nov 13 (KNN) Indian renewable energy company ReNew will invest Rs 82,000 crore across the renewable energy spectrum in Andhra Pradesh, marking one of the largest clean energy investments in the state.

The announcement was made by Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Thursday.

"In an investment spanning Rs 82,000 crores, Renew will be investing in the high technology areas of solar ingot, wafer manufacturing, down to project development and onwards to green hydrogen and molecules," said Lokesh in a post on X.

In May 2025, Lokesh had laid the foundation stone for a Rs 22,000 crore ReNew project in Anantapur district, which includes a 4.8 GWp hybrid farm with a battery energy storage system (BESS) at Bethapalli village in Gooty mandal.

The company's expansion is expected to significantly contribute to Andhra Pradesh's renewable energy infrastructure, support job creation, and strengthen India's transition toward a low-carbon, sustainable energy future.
