Equitrans Logistics Brings the World’s Most Prestigious Horses to Abu Dhabi for the Grand Opening of Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts

In a feat of precision, planning and world-class care, Equitrans Logistics has overseen the stable-to-stable transportation of thirty-five elite classical dressage horses from Europe to Abu Dhabi for the grand opening of Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) – the Middle East’s home of classical horsemanship.
The historic operation brought together horses from the word’s four royal schools of riding: the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, the Cadre Noir de Saumur in France, the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art in Lisbon, and the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez, Spain.
Each represents centuries of tradition, artistry and mastery, and for the first time in history, they will perform together on one stage alongside ADREA’s own ensemble of riders and horses during the official opening gala on 1-2 November 2025, before returning to their respective homes across Europe.
Entrusted with this extraordinary journey, Equitrans managed every stage of the process from health certification, export documentation and quarantine coordination in Europe to import clearance, biosecurity supervision and delivery to ADREA’s home on Jubail Island.
The horses travelled on Emirates on a Boeing 777 Freighter aircraft in temperature-controlled jet stalls with fresh bedding and hay, monitored and cared for by Equitrans team of trained professional flying grooms. Upon arrival into Dubai World Central, they were seamlessly transferred into Equitrans fleet of airconditioned, GPS enabled customised trucks for the 90-minute journey to ADREA’s 65,000 square metre estate, ensuring comfort, safety and minimal stress every step of the way.
