(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, Grynchuk shared details of the meeting on Facebook.

"We had an open and frank discussion with IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi in Toronto. Ukraine highly values the Agency's efforts. The presence of IAEA experts at facilities that play a key role in ensuring nuclear and radiation safety is extremely important – especially now, when the enemy has intensified attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure," she wrote.

She thanked Grossi for the IAEA's swift response and readiness to send an expert mission to facilities recently targeted by Russian strikes, which have significant implications for nuclear safety.

"Regarding the situation at ZNPP: we discussed the process of repairing power supply lines, which helped restore electricity to the plant and end its tenth and longest blackout so far," Grynchuk said.

She reiterated that the only way to ensure the safety of the Zaporizhzhia NPP was to return it under the control of Ukraine's Energoatom.

"I thank Rafael Grossi for the productive cooperation, his unwavering support, and efforts to uphold nuclear safety in Ukraine," Grynchuk concluded.

The G7 Ministers' Meeting on Energy and Environment is currently taking place in Toronto, Canada, with the Ukrainian delegation in attendance.
