Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke today with Peru's President José Jerí to reaffirm the United States' commitment to a collaborative partnership. The Secretary emphasized the longstanding ties between the United States and Peru, built on nearly 200 years of diplomatic relations. He stressed the importance of strengthening security cooperation and supporting Peru's efforts to combat crime in our hemisphere. Both leaders agreed to continue close cooperation on shared priorities, including combating narco-trafficking and strengthening regional stability.
