Arab Media Partner In Sustainable Development -- GCC Media Chief

BEIRUT, Oct 30 (KUNA) -- Director General of the Joint Program Production Institution of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Sabah, said Thursday that Arab media is a key partner in sustainable development.
He highlighted media's role in keeping pace with regional and global transformations and shaping public awareness to support societal progress.
Sheikh Mubarak spoke to KUNA on the sidelines of the 21st Arab Media Forum in Beirut under the theme "Media and Sustainable Development: Partners of the Present, Alliance for the Future."
The forum, under Lebanese President Michel Aoun's patronage, gathered Arab media leaders and experts to exchange knowledge and develop practical strategies.
He said media production and content are important tools for promoting national and strategic issues when aligned with developmental perspectives.
Sheikh Mubarak urged Arab media professionals to adopt national positions and spread positive messages that support development visions and societal advancement.
He thanked President Aoun, Information Minister Paul Morcos, and Forum Secretary-General Madi Al-Khamis for ensuring the forum's success, which began Wednesday and runs for two days.
The forum, an observer member of the Arab Ministers Council for Media and the Arab League Permanent Committee on Media, is held in Lebanon for the first time. (end)
