Stockholm: Minister of Labour H E Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri met yesterday with Minister of Employment of the Kingdom of Sweden H E Johan Britz during the official visit of a delegation from the Ministry of Labour to Sweden.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Sweden and discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in the labour sector. The two ministers exchanged views on promoting social dialogue, strengthening occupational safety and health, and fostering collaboration in the fields of technology, digital transformation, and the green economy. They also explored opportunities to advance training and capacity-building programmes for national workforces.

H E Dr. Al Marri reaffirmed that the visit reflects the State of Qatar's keenness to deepening international partnerships and exchanging expertise with leading countries in labour market regulation and governance. He emphasised that such engagements further consolidate the strong and longstanding relations between the two friendly nations and contribute to achieving common goals in sustainable development and decent work.
