Zelensky: Military Meeting Focused On Counteroffensive, Frontline, Drones On Hungarian Border
"I held a military briefing. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov, Ukraine's Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for defense matters Pavlo Palisa were present. Reports were delivered on the front lines – key directions – as well as the situation along the border. Special focus was given to the Dobropillia counteroffensive operation. As of this morning, 168.8 square kilometers of territory have been liberated since the operation began, and another 187.7 square kilometers cleared of Russian sabotage groups. Russian losses in this operation alone are already nearly 3,000 personnel, most of them irrecoverable. Ukraine's 'exchange fund' is also being replenished. I thank all our units involved in carrying out this operation," Zelensky said.

According to Zelensky, the Commander-in-Chief also reported on the downing of a Russian Su-34 in the Zaporizhzhia region.
"I thank our warriors for their accuracy. This aircraft, together with others, had been used by Russians to drop aerial bombs on Zaporizhzhia and other Ukrainian cities and villages. We will continue to justly destroy Russian military aviation in response to strikes against our cities and our people. We are also working with our partners to further strengthen our air defense. Following the meetings and agreements in New York these past days, the Ministry of Defense and Ukrainian diplomats have received the relevant instructions," Zelensky said.
He also raised the issue of reconnaissance drones detected on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border.
"The Commander-in-Chief also reported on recent drone incidents along the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. Ukrainian forces recorded violations of our airspace by reconnaissance drones, which are likely Hungarian. Preliminary assessments suggest they may have been conducting reconnaissance on the industrial potential of Ukraine's border areas. I instructed that all available information be verified and that urgent reports be made on each recorded incident," Zelensky said.
