Ukrainian Deep Strike Assets Hit 85 Key Targets Inside Russia In Two Months - Syrskyi

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said this while speaking to journalists, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

“This is our strong suit - an effective program that has already proven its results. These are units of the Unmanned Systems Forces that carry out long-range fire strikes. In less than two months, 85 important targets on enemy territory have been struck. Of these, 33 were military targets: bases, depots, arsenals, airfields, and aircraft on the ground, while 52 others were defense-industrial complex targets: facilities that manufacture weapons, ammunition, warheads, engines, rocket fuel, drones - everything used daily against us,” Syrskyi said.

He assured that the General Staff will continue to improve this structure, since the effectiveness of Deep Strike has been confirmed not only by Ukraine's Defense Forces but has also received high praise from international partners.

He noted that the strikes have caused a fuel crisis inside Russia, which directly impacts the enemy's logistics and support.

“The capabilities of the enemy's military-industrial complex have been significantly reduced - and we see this on the battlefield. This has forced the Russian fleet to shelter at its base in Novorossiysk and to put to sea only for short missile strikes before returning to cover. It has also forced the enemy to pull tactical aviation much farther from the front line,” the Commander-in-Chief said.

Syrskyi added that he would continue to build up and scale units conducting Deep Strike. At the same time, the system of their employment and the chain of command will be improved to achieve maximum effectiveness.

As previously reported, in August Ukrainian Deep Strike assets struck 60 targets on Russian territory.
