Kuwait's Civil Aviation Delegation Participates In ICAO General Assembly


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- A delegation from Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), headed by President Sheikh Eng. Humoud Mubarak Al-Sabah, Friday, continued Friday, its participation in the ongoing session of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) General Assembly in Montreal, Canada.
The DGCA said in a statement that the delegation joined discussions on civil aviation safety, environmental sustainability, and the development of international aviation policies and regulations.
On the sidelines, Sheikh Humoud held bilateral meetings with counterparts from the United States, Qatar, Oman, Spain, and Malaysia.
Talks with the U.S. focused on enhancing aviation safety and technical cooperation, while the Qatari meeting addressed joint positions in international forums and sustainable aviation initiatives, it noted.
Meetings with Oman stressed expanding regional air transport cooperation, while discussions with Spain covered digital transformation, innovation, and emissions reduction, according to statement.
In addition, talks with Malaysia highlighted airport management, advanced technologies, and human resource development.
Sheikh Humoud affirmed that these meetings reflect Kuwait's commitment to strengthening international and regional aviation partnerships and supporting ICAO's global efforts to ensure safe, secure, and sustainable civil aviation.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, ICAO honored Kuwait for progress in civil aviation security oversight and effective implementation of its international standards and practices.(end)
