KUWAIT, Sept 24 (KUNA) -- The Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), in collaboration with Google Cloud, launched on Wednesday the second edition of Kuwait Initiative for Digital Skills Development, designed to empower national cadres and overhaul their skills in advanced digital technology.
Minister of State for Communication Affairs Omar Al-Omar said in a statement marking the event that the initiative constitutes a crucial station in the process of inclusive overhaul of the digital sector.
The initiative provides the opportunity to all public personnel to acquire practical and advanced experience in clouding, artificial intelligence and cyber security in a manner that uplifts the institutional task efficiency and boosts quality of services for citizens and residents of the country, the minister said.
Minister Al-Omar added that it also enables the national cadres to master modern technology, thus contributing to building an economy based on knowledge, innovation and boosts state competition in various spheres.
Investment in the human capital is a sustainable and renewable investment and constitutes the foundation of neo Kuwait vision (2035), as affirmed by the political leadership, he said.
The training program, the minister said, is a fruit of the strategic partnership between the government of the state of Kuwait and Google Cloud company, indicating that it equips the civil servants with know-how and advanced digital skills.
The partnership with Google Cloud is not merely training cooperation for it embodies real commitment on part of the state of Kuwait to "boosting our digital potentials and Kuwait's status as a lucrative hub for modern technology and regional innovation," minister Al-Omar stated.
Google Cloud Director General in Kuwait Shaimaa Al-Tekreit said in a press statement that launching the partnership "embodies our commitment to empowering the labor force in Kuwait and speed the digital transformation."
