Amman, Sept. 24 (Petra) – The Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST) and a delegation of the Oman University of Technology and Applied Sciences (OTAS) on Wednesday discussed ways to enhance cooperation in science and technology fields.
The Omani visit is to explore opportunities for cooperation in priority areas to advance research and help meet national and regional needs, according to a Council statement.
HCST Secretary-General Mashhour Rifai outlined the Council's main objectives, implemented through its General Secretariat, centers, and funds, as an umbrella for science and technology in Jordan. He also listed the Council's projects and programs, including an initiative to identify Jordan's research priorities for the next decade and the Al-Hassan Learning Platform.

She presented mechanisms to support applied projects aligned with the national priorities of both sides, with emphasis on linking academia and industry, particularly in emerging technologies and applied innovation.
