Pakistan To Send Strong Message To Kabul After Deadly TTP Attacks Kill Nearly 20 Soldiers

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Pakistan will deliver a stern warning to Kabul after TTP militants killed nearly 20 soldiers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's border regions.

Pakistan will soon send a strong message to Kabul after nearly 20 of its soldiers were killed in recent attacks by Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's border regions.

Diplomatic sources told Geo News that Pakistan's Special Representative for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq, is expected to visit Kabul in the coming days to convey Islamabad's serious concerns.

During the visit, Sadiq Khan is likely to warn the uthorities over what Pakistan sees as the Taliban's growing support for the TTP. Officials said this issue has become a critical point of contention in recent weeks.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday delivered a blunt warning, urging the Taliban to“choose between Islamabad and the TTP.” He stressed that Pakistan would not tolerate any continued support for the group.

Sharif further cautioned that Islamabad could consider cutting ties with Kabul altogether if the situation persists. He also alleged Afghan citizens were involved in recent terror incidents inside Pakistan and announced that undocumented Afghan migrants would soon be expelled.

According to Geo News, the Taliban had earlier pledged not to assist the TTP but appear to have backtracked on those assurances, deepening Islamabad's frustration.

The escalation in TTP-linked violence has placed unprecedented strain on Pakistan-Afghanistan relations. Islamabad is pressing Kabul for decisive action against militant sanctuaries along the border.

Observers warn that without concrete steps, ties between the two neighbours may reach their lowest point since the Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan in 2021.
