Security forces killed 19 militants during intelligence-based operations in three districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, North Waziristan, Mohmand, and Bannu, on September 9 and 10, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In Mohmand's Gulonoo area, a fierce gun battle took place between security forces and militants, leaving 14 terrorists dead. In a separate operation in North Waziristan's Datta Khel area, four more militants were killed. Another militant was eliminated during a clash in Bannu.

The ISPR said that a large cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered during the operations. It confirmed that those killed were involved in carrying out terrorist activities in different parts of the country under Indian sponsorship.

Security officials added that clearance and sanitization operations are continuing in these areas to eliminate the possibility of further militant presence. The military reiterated its resolve to eradicate Indian-backed terrorism from Pakistan.

The latest operations follow a major terrorist attack a few days earlier on the FC Lines in Bannu, in which six militants were killed. That attack left 19 people injured, including an army major, the Cantt SHO, and three civilians.

Among the wounded was SSG Commander Major Adnan, who later succumbed to his injuries and embraced martyrdom.
